Machine Operator

Location: Sacramento

Pay: $20-$22

Shift: 1st & 2nd

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to efficiently operate and manage a rainware roll former/slitter. This role involves setting up and operating various functions of assigned machines, making necessary adjustments, and ensuring production orders are completed accurately.

Responsibilities

• Operate rainware roll former/slitter at shop.
• Set up and operate all functions of assigned machines/equipment.
• Adjust machine settings for different material thicknesses, clamp placements, and work order requirements.
• Inspect parts using tape measures, scales, calipers, and computerized measuring devices.
• Read and complete production orders accurately.
• Perform secondary operations, such as cleaning, on manufactured parts as required.
• Arrange parts for production and manage storage of raw stock, partially completed work, and completed jobs.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Conduct visual safety checks for machine wear, damage to tooling, and correct positioning of safety guards.
• Assist other machine operators and departments with warehouse and production work.
• Follow all safety regulations, maintain a clean and orderly work area, and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Essential Skills

• Experience in machine operation and manufacturing.
• General labor and assembly skills.
• Proficiency with hand tools, press brake, stamping press, and roll forming.
• Production experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to stand, reach with hands and arms, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Capability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift, with assistance, up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to operate equipment safely.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
