General Production Worker

Join a dynamic team at a steel company where you will be responsible for taking incoming products and repurposing them. You will work across various areas in the facility, including laser cutting, water jet cutting, shipping, receiving, grinding, saw cutting, and more. You should be open to training during the day and working the 2nd or 3rd shifts. Your role will involve learning and growing in all areas, with the company determining the best fit for you upon hire.

Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts or overhead cranes to move materials.
• Build custom pallets for packaging and shipping.
• Load and unload trucks at receiving docks.
• Remove steel from racks and place it on machines using overhead suction cups and cranes.
• Cut material and prepare it for shipment.
• Accurately use a tape measure down to 1/16th of an inch.
• Consistently lift and move 75 lbs.
• Convert fractions and decimals as part of a skills test.
• Experience in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in using a tape measure down to 1/16th of an inch.
• Ability to lift and push/pull 75 lbs consistently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in steel manufacturing.
• Experience with water jet or laser operations.
• Forklift and overhead crane usage.
• Previous use of micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract to hire position based out of Maumee, OH.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
