Job Description

Treasure Data:

At Treasure Data, we’re on a mission to radically simplify how companies use data and AI to create connected customer experiences. Our intelligent customer data platform (CDP) drives revenue growth and operational efficiency across the enterprise to deliver powerful business outcomes.

We are thrilled that Forrester has recognized Treasure Data as a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Customer Data Platforms For B2C . It's an honor to be acknowledged for our efforts in advancing the CDP industry with cutting-edge AI and real-time capabilities.

Furthermore, Treasure Data employees are enthusiastic, data-driven, and customer-obsessed. We are a team of drivers—self-starters who take initiative, anticipate needs, and proactively jump in to solve problems. Our actions reflect our values of honesty, reliability, openness, and humility.

Your Role:

Treasure Data is seeking an entrepreneurial UX Researcher to help shape the user experience of our intelligent Customer Data platform. As a key member of our Product Design team, you’ll conduct research that brings the voice of our users into every stage of product development—from early discovery through usability testing.

In this role, you’ll partner closely with Product, Design, Engineering, and Go-To-Market (GTM) teams to plan and conduct studies that uncover user needs, validate concepts, and evaluate experiences. You’ll also work alongside a Senior UX Researcher and the Product Design Director to help establish and grow the research practice within the company. This includes supporting evangelism of user-centered design, educating cross-functional partners on the value of research, and being adaptable and agile in applying the right methods and processes for the moment.

We’re looking for someone who’s excited by complex systems, passionate about customer empathy, excited to apply a variety of research methods in a fast-paced SaaS environment. Being a late-stage start-up we thrive on change and are looking for another like-minded, hard-working person to join our team. You will join an exciting team of doers who are building applications that change the lives of marketers, data engineers, service center agents and the customers they serve.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and conduct user research studies across the product lifecycle, including interviews, usability testing, and surveys
  • Partner with designers and product managers to identify research questions and ensure findings directly inform design and product decisions
  • Collaborate with and support a Senior UX Researcher and the Product Design Director in shaping research practices, frameworks, and processes for the company
  • Synthesize research findings into actionable insights and communicate them effectively to cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Go-To-Market (GTM) teams to connect with users and gather feedback from high-value segments
  • Help evangelize the value of research across the company by educating partners and influencing product decisions with evidence-based insights
  • Contribute to research artifacts (personas, journey maps, user needs frameworks) that align teams around customer perspectives
  • Document methods, tools, and findings to grow a scalable research knowledge base
  • Be flexible and adaptable in choosing the right research methods to meet teams where they are in their product development cycle

Required Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in UX research, ideally with SaaS start up experience
  • Strong knowledge of qualitative and evaluative research methods; some experience with quantitative approaches a plus
  • Excellent communication skills—verbal, visual, and written
  • Comfortable working independently and proactively in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
  • Experience in complex B2B SaaS or enterprise platforms; familiarity with customer data, analytics, or marketing technology is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with research tools such as UserTesting, Userytics, Dovetail, Maze, Lookback, Qualtrics, or similar.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Information Science, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience

Physical Requirements:

Working out of the Mountain View, California office according to our “Global Hybrid Working Policy.”

Travel Requirements:
