UX Researcher – Contract, 4+ months W2, $25.00–$35.00/hr. Fully remote (based in Austin, TX). TEKsystems is recruiting for a UX Researcher for the Experience Design Research Team at LPL Financial. Overview The team works with product managers, XD designers, and other researchers to bring innovative solutions to our advisors. The role involves end‑to‑end research and collaboration across the entire product lifecycle. Responsibilities Develop research plans, workflows, user task analysis, personas, journey/experience maps, process flows, and service blueprints. Lead user research through every stage of the product lifecycle: plan and run usability studies, analyze data, conduct heuristic evaluations, moderate workshops, and perform low‑ to high‑fidelity usability tests. Present findings to cross‑functional teams and negotiate trade‑offs between business goals, technical challenges, and customer experience. Coordinate and take direction from the lead researcher to the assigned area of focus. Qualifications 3+ years of user experience research experience. Experience with qualitative research and qualified research methods (moderated interviews, unmoderated usability tests, surveys via Qualtrics). Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and representation. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Experience in complex or regulated industries (financial services a plus). 2+ years of project teamwork, meeting timelines with competing priorities. Proven ability to navigate high‑stakes business relationships with discretion and professionalism. Core Competencies Clear, compelling communication of research insights. Strategic thinking paired with tactical execution. Excellent collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Able to hit the ground running and ask strategic questions for alignment. Preferred Skills Familiarity with UserTesting, Jira, Confluence, and Figma. Experience working in agile/pod structures. Background in financial services is a bonus. Ability to cultivate cross‑functional partnerships and align research with business priorities.
