\n\nJob Description\n

The Patient Navigator, Surgery is an advocate and educator for patients and their families throughout the surgical and cancer continuum. The role involves providing comprehensive support, guidance, and resources to enhance patient care and navigation through the healthcare system.

\n\nResponsibilities\n

\n
• Treat all patients with dignity and professionalism.
\n
• Provide competent clinical care during office visits.
\n
• Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
\n
• Provide education and resources to patients and families.
\n
• Process patient information efficiently and courteously.
\n
• Coordinate patient appointments to ensure timely diagnostic and therapeutic services.
\n
• Assist patients with financial services to cover healthcare needs.
\n
• Network with hospital and community services to enhance patient support.
\n
• Participate in community education to raise public awareness.
\n

\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n

\n
• Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience in Surgery/Oncology.
\n
• Strong understanding of surgical workflows and medical terminology.
\n
• New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse License.
\n
• BLS certification.
\n
