Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager with acute care and hospital background for a travel assignment in California with floating expectations.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a hospital-based case management setting
• Day shifts, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, five days per week
• Assignment includes potential floating to affiliated facilities within California
• Patient population includes acute care patients requiring complex case management
• Uses Epic EMR with prior experience required
• Assignment is 13 weeks in length
• Perform comprehensive case management for acute care patients across multiple hospital locations as needed
• Expected to float between all associated facilities within California
• Pre-assignment online modules required, averaging 16 hours, with completion recorded prior to start
• Returning travelers must have a 3-month gap from prior employment as permanent staff
• Local candidates are considered at a lower rate and must reside outside a 50-mile radius
• First time travelers are accepted for this assignment

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active CA RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years recent acute care, hospital-based experience in case management
• Epic EMR experience required
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years in a comparable case management setting
• Must not have been employed as permanent staff within the past 3 months and must live more than 50 miles from the facility for travel consideration
• All requested time off must be submitted up front
• Must be able to work 3 out of 5 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
