• Location: Washington, DC 20007\n
• Healthcare Setting: Outpatient Oncology Clinic\n
• Job Type: Travel RN Contract (13 weeks)\n
• Start Date: January 26, 2026\n
• End Date: April 27, 2026\n
• Shift: 5x8-Hour Days (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)\n
• Hours per Week: 40\n
• Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics\n
• Unit: Lombardi CNC Oncology Clinic\n
• Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions)\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Active DC Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of application\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent oncology nursing experience (inpatient and outpatient preferred)\n
• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment\n
• BLS certification required\n
• OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) and ONS/ONCC certifications preferred\n
• Experience with Cerner electronic charting system preferred\n
• Strong clinical skills in care coordination, abnormal lab value recognition, isolation and neutropenic precautions, telephone triage, psychosocial care, and symptom management\n
• Experience caring for patients with various cancer types: bladder, kidney, brain, breast, colorectal, ENT, leukemia, lymphoma, hematology, GYN, and more\n
• Two supervisor references required\n

\n\nOutpatient RN Responsibilities\n

\n
• Coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care to oncology and hematology patients in an outpatient clinic\n
• Perform telephone triage, patient and family education, and support\n
• Recognize and communicate abnormal lab values promptly\n
• Implement isolation and neutropenic precautions\n
• Manage symptom control and provide psychosocial care\n
• Assist with GYN examinations, bone marrow biopsies, and aspirations\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including social services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response\n
• Document patient care using Cerner (preferred)\n
