Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) assesses, implements, and evaluates care needed by assigned patients under the direction of the licensed physician. The RN is knowledgeable about principles, theories, current methods, and techniques of nursing practice. Utilizing the nursing process, the RN collaborates with the patient, patient's family members/significant others, professional peers, and other members of the health care team to individualize patient care. The RN directs nursing support staff in the provision of patient care according to the standards of nursing practice, administrative, and departmental policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.


• Implement interventions based on nursing standards and protocols.


• Evaluate the effectiveness of care and modify plans as needed.


• Collaborate with healthcare team members for comprehensive patient care.


• Direct nursing support staff in daily care activities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Required).


• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred).


• 1 year of experience in area of clinical specialty (Preferred).


• Current PA Registered Nurse License (Required).


• Basic Life Support certification (Required).
