Position Overview:
We are seeking caring and dependable substitute teachers join our preschool community. The Substitute teacher provides support in maintaining a warm, safe, and engaging classroom environment in the absence of a regular teacher. Ideal candidates will have a genuine love for children, a flexible attitude and the ability to quickly adapt to different classroom settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a nurturing, responsive, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children
- Follow daily routines and plans provided by teachers or administrators
- Supervise children closely to ensure safety and positive interactions
- Support transitions, circle time, activity exploration, outdoor play, and snack/lunch times
- Collaborate with other staff to uphold the school's values and expectations
- Communicate effectively with children, staff, and administrators
Qualifications:
- Minimum 12 ECE (Early Childhood Education) units required; Associate or Bachelor's in Child Development or related field preferred
- Prior experience working with children ages 2-5 in a preschool or childcare setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
