We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and services, while collaborating closely with development and engineering teams to ensure scalable, secure, and compliant cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.
- Lead and support GKE integration efforts with development and engineering teams.
- Implement and manage GCP services including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Cloud Functions.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Automate cloud operations and workflows using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Apply GitOps principles to manage infrastructure as code and ensure version control and traceability.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Bitbucket and Jenkins.
- Ensure cloud environments adhere to security best practices, compliance requirements, and Windows Server/Active Directory configurations.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud resources for cost and efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform.
- 5+ years of experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), including integration with development/engineering teams.
- Strong knowledge of GCP services: Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud Functions.
- Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, or similar IaC tools.
- Scripting expertise in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience implementing GitOps workflows for infrastructure management.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and tools such as Bitbucket and Jenkins.
- Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud security/compliance standards.
Preferred Skills:
- GCP certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional DevOps Engineer).
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
- Knowledge of container security and service mesh technologies.
