Job Description:

The Senior Business Intelligence Business Analyst Auto Systems and Reporting will be responsible for acting as a member of a team that develops and maintains a set of reports used in systems support functions and auto finance field operations.

The Work Itself

• Consult with internal stakeholders to capture and document reporting requirements, including wireframe mockups of reports and the location of source data in system UI.
• Research and document the location of required source data in the appropriate database. Write SQL code to verify that report requirements can be developed into a finished report.
• Create and maintain requirements documentation (mapping, rulebooks, etc.), testing documentation and approvals from stakeholders.
• Act as a primary contact for support, troubleshooting, defect documentation and tracking related to reports developed by the team.
• Schedule and host daily Development Team meetings; ensure an adequate backlog is maintained and help prioritize daily work.
• Schedule and host weekly Stakeholder meetings to share progress, resolve any blocking dependencies, groom and prioritize the request backlog.
• Create and provide periodic progress updates to Management; create Jira Dashboards to track team activities and report on volume and trends.
• Develop and analyze SQL queries to research data sources and validate report accuracy.
• Partner with internal IT teams to optimize data architecture and data utilization.
• Participate in data quality rule creation and testing activities.
• Support and administer an IBM Cognos Reporting site for operational reports.
• Support and administer multiple Power BI workspaces, dashboards and apps for operational reports.
• Proactively engage in projects to provide data thought leadership.
• Perform special projects/assignments as needed.

The Skills You Bring

• Bachelors degree in IT or data discipline (MIS, Computer Sci, etc.) required.
• Masters degree in IT or data discipline (MIS, Computer Sci, etc.) preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills required.
• Strong organization and documentation skills required.
• Thorough approach and attention to detail required.
• Ability to achieve balance between the right technical and business solution required.
• Experience collaborating with partners to capture requirement and document data sources required.
• Experience performing complex data extraction from multiple, large data sources required.
• Experience with development and administration of reporting packages required; experience with Power BI and IBM Cognos strongly preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Power Query including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions strongly preferred.
• Experience creating data quality rules and executing test cases strongly preferred.
• Experience creating and administering SharePoint sites strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Atlassian Jira and Confluence preferred.
• Experience creating data quality rules and testing activities preferred.
• Experience writing and executing SQL queries required; cloud-based data extraction preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of automation through VBA preferred.
• Knowledge of Python preferred.
• Experience in Consumer Finance or Auto Finance industry (consumer lending and servicing, commercial lending, etc.) strongly preferred.
