We are seeking Professional, Remote Pathology Care Coordinator to help us provide excellent quality of care to our patients.

Aspire Dermatology is a highly professional provider of comprehensive dermatology services, with twelve conveniently located offices throughout Rhode Island. Our team offers everything from skin screenings and cosmetic procedures to Mohs surgery, always striving for excellence in patient care.

Hours : Full Time, 40 hours, Monday - Friday 8:00 am -- 5:00 pm EST 

Pay rate range: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour, based on education, certifications, and experience.

Location: Remote, Birmingham AL 

Position Overview

Aspire Dermatology is seeking a Professional, Remote Pathology Care Coordinator to help us provide excellent quality of care to our patients. This multi-functional role is responsible for coordinating patient care, communicating pathology results, and ensuring a seamless experience for patients and providers.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Inform patients of pathology results and coordinate their care, both in-office and with external providers.
  • Access and manage patient information and documentation using our secure network systems.
  • Accurately enter data into the Pathology Log and maintain thorough records.
  • Communicate professionally with physicians, patients, and coworkers.
  • Schedule appointments, surgeries, and follow-up visits.
  • Answer phones, return calls promptly, and handle patient inquiries with empathy and professionalism.
  • Respond to emails, internal messages, and tasks in a timely manner.
  • Provide patient education and counseling about procedures, diagnoses, treatments, and medications.
  • Call labs to obtain outstanding results and follow up as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain strict patient confidentiality.
  • Utilize office equipment and software (Excel, Word, multi-line phones, etc.) efficiently.
  • Multi-task and manage a high-volume workflow in a fast-paced, patient care-driven environment.
  • Travel occasionally for training purposes (reliable transportation and internet required).

  Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum typing speed of 45 wpm with 100% accuracy.
  • Prior experience in Dermatology is preferred. 
  • Ability to properly utilize office equipment, including multi-line phones, computers and keyboard.
  • Strong command of grammar and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions in English.
  • Ability to manage high volume work flow.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in person and on the phone, interacting in a consistently professional and courteous manner.
  • Willingness to work varying hours, including occasional weekends.
  • Reliable personal transportation and a willingness to travel for training purposes to the Birmingham AL area.
