*Job Summary*
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic healthcare team. *Responsibilities*

* Conduct thorough physical examinations and assess vital signs to evaluate the health status of pediatric patients.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication administration, injections, IV infusions, and wound suturing when necessary.
* Manage acute conditions such as infections, injuries, and pain using evidence-based practices; utilize skills in airway management and spinal tap procedures when indicated.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, discharge planning, and follow-up services across inpatient and outpatient settings.
* Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation, coding (CPT, ICD-10), and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Provide patient education on nutrition, developmental milestones, medication management, and preventive health strategies tailored for children and their families.
* Engage in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects to enhance pediatric care standards; participate in telehealth consultations to extend services remotely.

*Experience*

* Proven experience working with children across various healthcare environments such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), clinics, or assisted living facilities specializing in pediatrics, neonatal care, or family medicine.
* Demonstrated proficiency in pediatric-specific procedures including phlebotomy, venipuncture, catheterization, tube feeding management, and sterile processing techniques.
* Critical care experience in ICU or PICU settings is highly desirable; familiarity with ventilator management and neonatal ventilators is a plus (but not required).
* Knowledge of infectious disease care protocols, immunizations, and pediatric pharmacology including psychopharmacology for behavioral health cases.
* Prior experience with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or Athenahealth; familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes is advantageous.
* Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments involving anatomy knowledge, physiology understanding, diagnostic evaluation, and laboratory specimen collection/processing.
* Strong communication skills for triage duties, patient education, family planning discussions, and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams focused on pediatrics or geriatrics if applicable. Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
