Patient Access Scheduler I
Wausau, WI (Remote)
⏰ Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Central Time Zone
$18.70/hour
We are seeking a Patient Access Scheduler I to join our team in Wausau, WI. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients—answering inbound calls, scheduling specialty or diagnostic appointments, and providing excellent service in a fast-paced contact center environment.
Key Responsibilities
Answer 75–125 inbound calls daily to schedule or update appointments
Place outbound calls for follow-ups, referrals, and reschedules
Maintain a professional, friendly demeanor while assisting patients
Collaborate with departments to ensure efficiency and patient satisfaction
Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required
3+ years experience in healthcare setting required
2+ years experience in a high-volume contact center required
Must have previous experience in a remote call center
Experience working with EPIC software required
Strong customer service skills
Proficiency with computers
