Night auditors perform end-of-day accounting tasks and overnight front desk duties. They assist late-night guests, process check-ins and check-outs, and address other customer requests. They also audit, reconcile, and balance daily financial activities.

They seized an opportunity, purchasing a bankrupt hotel in Lumberton, North Carolina. Today, Shamin Hotels stands as a testament to their legacy, having grown into the largest hotel owner and operator in Virginia, with over 70 hotels spanning multiple states.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Performs all audit procedures as set forth by the Hotel and company, on a daily basis.
  • Performs and attributes all required audit reports.
  • Verifies the status of all wake-up call requests and ensures they are properly handled.
  • Balances all cash receipts and work performed during the audit shift.
  • Prepares the front office for the 'A' shift and reset days business.
  • Acts as a Guest Service representative during the night time hours.
  • Acts as the manager on duty during the night time hours.
  • Attends and actively participates in all front office meetings.
  • Participates in all training and cross training programs.
  • Acts as PBX operator during the audit shift.
  • Assists breakfast attendants by setting up breakfast areas as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
  • Reports to work for scheduled shifts, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.
  • Knows and complies with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree, and/or equivalent experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Must have basic reading, writing, and math skills.
  • 1-2 years of hotel front desk or night auditor experience preferred.
  • Customer service skills required.
  • Financial management skills required.
  • Brand systems knowledge preferred.
