Informix Database / System Administrator - Remote Saint Paul, MN, United States . PCMAN2084 Saint Paul, MN 6+ Months Job Description Our Direct Client is seeking an experienced, full-time, on-site, dedicated Candidate, with skills and expertise as described in below requirement. Responsibilities

Develop a detailed work plan including dependencies for Informix database upgrade and data migration
Determine and set up configuration values and sizes (e.g., blobspace, dbspace, logical and physical logs)
Set-up and configure dev/test/prod database server environment variables and paths
Install Informix
Create new database
Determine registry and file settings
Determine Informix data migration approach and strategy
Work with State to execute and validate data migrations
Determine archive/backup and recovery strategy
Evaluate and research Informix embedded scripting compatibility with RHEL
Execute database performance testing and tuning
Prepare and execute test plans
Mitigate risks and issues
Work with State staff including server and database administrators and development team
Provide knowledge transfer to State staff
Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Five (5) years’ experience in Database Administration role(s)
Two (2) engagements, within the last five (5) years and lasting at least six (6) months each, in Database Administration roles using Informix 11.5 with Unix operating system
One (1) engagement in a Database Administration role using Informix 14.10 with Linux operating system
Certified in Informix Database Administration or Informix System Administration
