Job Title: Painter Trainee
Job Description

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Painter Trainees. In this role, you will be trained and required to pass the Painter Qualification test, with regular recertification as needed. You will operate an overhead crane to safely maneuver parts, follow detailed verbal and written instructions, and maintain quality standards. You will work in various production areas to meet demands and ensure a safe and clean work environment. This position requires regular attendance and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Pass the Painter Qualification test and recertify skills as required.
• Operate an overhead crane to maneuver parts safely into place.
• Train and work in various production areas in response to production demands.
• Follow verbal and written work instructions, including reading blueprints.
• Adhere to quality standards with attention to detail.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Work effectively in both team and individual settings.
• Perform industrial spray painting and paint preparation tasks.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude.
• Experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints.
• Attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience or exposure to painting, whether professionally, in schooling, or as a hobbyist.
• Proficiency with tape measures, assembly, production, hand tools, mechanical assembly, and power tools.

As an employee, you will be eligible for a sign-on bonus totaling $1,500, with incremental payments at 3, 6, and 12 months of employment. We provide paid training to help you advance your skills and increase your earning potential. You will also have the opportunity to receive a $1.75 shift differential for working 2nd or 3rd shifts.

Work Environment

Our work environment is dynamic, requiring both independent work and team collaboration. You should be comfortable working in a hot environment and be prepared to wear jeans, steel-toe shoes, and a clean work shirt. Training is conducted on 1st shift from 7am-3pm, with subsequent full-time work on either 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) or 3rd shift (11pm-7am).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mc Connellsburg, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.75/hr.
