Founding Engineer Full Stack (Voice AI)
Location: San Francisco, CA (On-site, 5.5 days/week)
Compensation: $160K $260K + Equity (0.5% 1.5%)
Work Authorization: Visa sponsorship available for exceptional candidates
Experience Level: 3-6 years
Tech Stack: TypeScript, React, Python, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, AWS
A high-growth AI startup headquartered in San Francisco is redefining voice-based interactions by building hyper-realistic, AI-powered voice agents for customer support, order intake, and lead qualification. With strong revenue momentum, elite backing from top investors, and millions of calls already handled for major brands, this startup is scaling fast and theyre looking for a Founding Engineer to join the core team.
You'll be working at the bleeding edge of LLMs, voice synthesis, and conversational UX, all while shaping product, infrastructure, and company culture from the ground up.
What You'll DoBuild, deploy, and scale full-stack voice AI applications used by real enterprise customers
Collaborate directly with founders and customers to iterate fast and ship meaningful features
Influence product architecture and technical decisions as an early and critical member of the team
Own significant chunks of the backend, especially around real-time data, speech, and AI model pipelines
Help lay the groundwork for engineering excellence in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment
3-6 years of experience as a full-stack engineer (heavier backend experience is preferred)
Demonstrated success building and shipping products at high-growth startups or technical companies
Practical experience applying AI/LLM technologies or working with voice/NLP-based systems
Comfortable with a lean team, fast feedback loops, and high product ownership
Background in CS or a related technical field
Motivated to work in-person with the team 5.5 days a week (Mon-Fri, 9-7 + Sun, 11-5)
