About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Finance and Business Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall financial management of the Department of Pathology and Cell Biology, including financial analyses, modeling, and strategic goal setting. This role involves supporting the Departmental Administrator in coordinating and directing financial and management functions to enhance the department's performance in teaching, medical research, and clinical care. The Executive Director will also lead the budget and finance team, manage procurement and accounts payable, oversee clinical revenue cycle operations, and ensure compliance with all financial and regulatory requirements.

Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree, with a Master's degree preferred, and an MBA in an accounting or finance-related field. A minimum of 7 years' related experience is required, with a preference for candidates with a background in large, complex organizations, particularly in a healthcare or medical school setting. The role demands a strong understanding of financial operations in a healthcare or academic environment, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of senior administrators and faculty. The Executive Director will also be responsible for forecasting, strategic planning, and providing guidance for decision-making based on financial analysis.
