Overview Job no: 509508 Position type: Full-Time 12-Month Department: 890137 - Athletics-Creative Strategy Location: Main Campus - Starkville, MS Categories: Professional Position Open Date: Jul 13 2025 Position Function The Director of Creative Video will oversee the video content team and will shoot/edit/produce creative video content for Mississippi State Athletics and its media platforms and in-venue displays. Oversee, lead and cultivate the creative video content team and video content strategy for all MSU Athletics sports, external affairs team and overall athletic department. This includes recruiting, maintaining and cultivating our student intern team. Provide creative direction and leadership for a video team made of 3-5 full-time staffers and the student intern program. Collaborate with the Communications, Marketing and Broadcast teams, to maintain strategy and content calendar to produce videos and digital elements for internal and external promotional efforts. Assist with creative media needs in support of assigned sports, social media, marketing, recruiting, ticket sales, videoboard, Bulldog Club and Bulldog Athlete Services and Bulldog Sports Properties/Learfield. Manage alongside the Assistant AD/Creative Strategy and Senior Associate Athletics Director/Communications and Content the creative video department to ensure all sport projects are moving from concept to production, to completion in an effective and efficient manner. Assist with establishing staff vision and philosophy for all social media platforms as it relates to video content. Meet quick turnarounds to post high quality videos on same day that events occur, while meeting the guiding principles, strategies and goals of the department. Provide insight to push department forward with emerging trends in social, digital media, as well as in-venue entertainment. Ensure consistency in brand guidelines and messaging related to content and posting. Perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibility Supervises a video content team of 3-5 full-time staffers and several students. The above essential duties are representative of major duties in this position.
