We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented back office Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and excellent communication skills. As a Medical Assistant, you will work closely with the physician to ensure smooth patient flow and provide exceptional service throughout all stages of the patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist dermatologist with patient exams, procedures, and treatments.
• Prepare patients for examination by taking medical histories and vital signs.
• Assist with medical, cosmetic and laser dermatologic procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in our electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Educate patients on proper skin care, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions.
• Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and maintain exam rooms.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow throughout the day.
• Process lab specimens and communicate results to patients.
• Provide administrative support, including making appointments, managing patient charts, insurance verification, inventory management.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required;
• Prior experience as a Medical Assistant in a dermatology or healthcare setting strongly preferred.
• Proficient with EHR systems (experience with EMA/ ModMed a plus).
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Desired Skills:

• Strong computer skills and familiarity with office equipment.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
