\nStrong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost structures.
\nProficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
\nExperience with estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Sage Estimating, Bluebeam) is preferred.
\nExcellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
\nStrong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
\nEffective communication and negotiation skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and team members.
\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
\nBachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
\nReview project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine scope of work and requirements.
\nPrepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
\nSolicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
\nIdentify potential risks, cost-saving opportunities, and alternative solutions.
\nMaintain an up-to-date database of pricing, materials, and labor costs.
\nCollaborate with project managers and engineers to refine estimates and budgets.
\nPrepare bid proposals and participate in pre-bid meetings.
\nEnsure estimates comply with company standards, client requirements, and industry best practices.
\nTrack and analyze historical project costs to improve accuracy of future estimates.
