Reporting to the Operations Manager, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Timely and safe delivery of catering orders to a wide range of off-premise event locations.

• Driving and navigating extended vans is required; experience with a 16ft truck or larger is preferred.

• Loading, organizing, securing, and unloading deliveries with care and precision.

• Maintaining the integrity of food and equipment during transport, ensuring adherence to food safety and temperature control standards.

• Providing friendly, professional customer service to clients and guests upon delivery.

• Communicating clearly and effectively with the operations team regarding order statuses, issues, or delays.

• Handling last-minute changes or high-pressure timelines calmly and efficiently.

• Assisting in event setup/breakdown as needed.

• Following all safety protocols and company procedures for transporting food and equipment.

• Completing vehicle inspections and maintaining cleanliness of assigned vehicles.

All candidates for Catering Driver or Catering Driver Assistant must meet the following criteria:

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with no history of accidents or traffic violations.

• Strong punctuality and dependability. Proven ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines.

• Previous experience in food delivery or catering delivery is strongly preferred.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy items.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in order packing and route management.

• Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

• Ability to stay composed and resourceful under pressure or when facing unexpected challenges.

• Knowledge of food safety and transportation protocols.

• Must understand that this is a part-time, on-call, seasonal position.

• Catering Driver Assistants must be comfortable working under the direction of a Catering Driver and Operations team, with potential to grow into a driver role.
