Job Description

Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region as an Aspiring RN Technician. This part-time role is perfect for nursing students currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program or recent graduates within the last 30 days, offering hands-on experience under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.

Role Overview

As a Nursing Technician, you will perform specific nursing functions aligned with your current education and verified competencies. Responsibilities include assisting with medication administration (excluding chemotherapy, IV medications, and scheduled drugs), practicing the 8 rights of medication administration, monitoring patient responses, and promptly reporting to supervising RNs. You will support patient care by assisting with activities of daily living, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and dignity, and helping with feeding, positioning, and rehabilitative programs.

Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Currently enrolled in a nursing program or graduated within the last 30 days
Experience and Skills
  • Understanding of patient confidentiality and ability to maintain it
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Competent documentation abilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Genuine interest in patient care and safety
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
